BALLYTURK – Tsuyoshi Kusanagi’s Latest Play

On February 7, it was announced that Tsuyoshi will finally be appearing in a play after 3 years. Over the last two or so years, in his monthly magazine column, Okiraku, Tsuyoshi has been very open about his desire for more work, and a play in particular. I’m so happy that it’s finally happening.

The play is the Irish playwright Enda Walsh’s Ireland-based BALLYTURK. The Japanese adaption will be directed by Akira Shirai and feature Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, Satoru Matsuo, and Katsuya Kobashi.

The play runs from April 14 – May 6th in Kanagawa, May 12-June 3 in Tokyo, and June 16, 17 in Hyogo.

The chance to ballot for tickets on Atarashii Chizu has already passed, however, Japan residents can apply for the lotto the Kanagawa theater, KAAT, is having here. The deadline for this ends on the February 21st. General sale of tickets will begin in March.

Not-so-seriously studying Japanese. Not-so-slightly obsessed with SMAP. This blog is an outlet for my SMAP love and a way to practice my Japanese. I'm not fluent but hopefully I am successful with at least getting the gist of what goes on.
